EMMA BLYTH SOLO EXHIBITON SUNBURNT
Monsoon Gallery Broome July 8 – 18 2010
Emma's love of outback Australia is obvious as you view her latest works titled ‘Sunburnt’. Emma loves to transform iconic Australian locations, as well as not so traveled destinations, into bold artworks with her unique style.
Emma employs broad brushstrokes with bright colours, accentuating the amazing natural colour schemes of the outback, igniting memories of glorious sunsets and sunrises, and encounters with our amazing native flora and fauna.
Emma and her partner recently spent 3 months traveling the ‘top end’ of Australia, igniting Emma’s passion for outback Australia. Camping out the back of a ute, navigating some of Australia’s extreme four wheels drive routes. The amazing waterholes & waterfalls of the Kimberley, Litchfield and Kakadu were a huge inspiration along with the Daintree and Cape York. Visiting several aboriginal rock art galleries on the journey was a highlight, along with barramundi fishing amongst the crocodiles, watching the amazing birdlife, listening to howling dingoes around the camp and a close encounter with a cassowary.
If you would like to come to Broome for Emma’s solo exhibition opening please let us know and we will send you an invite! Opening night Thursday 8 July 2010 5.30 - 7.30pm.
